How To Discover Your Talents

Do you ever wonder what your talent is? Or whether talent is born or made? This post will help you discover your talents and also discuss key features of talent.

Talent is a gift of God to you that makes you creative and productive. It is a noble gift or aptitude in which you discover your strength, passion, joy and sense of purpose. Your talent is your area of expertise. Your talent is your treasure and your heart is always in it.

Your talent is a true representation of your purpose on earth; it is what you were born for. So, knowing your talent is knowing your purpose on earth, because your talent confers on you a mission to accomplish on earth.
Having knowledge about your talent is very important for a successful and fulfilled life. You will agree with me that it is better to have to work in an area where you are talented; where you find your strength and passion, than where you are not talented and have no passion for

As earlier stated, your talent is a noble gift or aptitude in which you discover your strength, passion, joy and sense of purpose. With this, it shouldn’t be hard to discover your talent. Your talent can be seen in things that you enjoy doing; things that give you joy and you have passion for. Things that you did in the past that gave you a sense of purpose and you had passion in. Your talent is your area of expertise, and therefore it is seen in the things that you are good at. All you have to do is to pay attention to your inner voice; which is always the first step to creativity and self-discovery. So, try practicing quietness. I, for example, since the age of nine (9) have had the desire to be a writer. During my quiet time, I do get inspiration on things to write about and how to write them. Then I spent huge amount of time writing, sometimes running into midnight periods.

Also, try looking at the best people in your area of talent or expertise, especially their work ethics, and improve in your craft.

This is a widely asked question when the topic of ‘talent’ is discussed. First of all, get the fact that all of us have gifts in different areas of life, and it often starts as 'a potential’. It is when we put ‘ those potentials’ to work that it improves to become great and also make us great.
If your idea is that talent is being born, and that some people are just flawless in what they do, so they were naturally given the ability. Then it might interest you to know that the world we live in only bring people into  spotlight when they have achieved great feats. It does not show much about the rigors, toils, pains, perseverance, sacrifices, determination, persistence and even disappointments those people went through. Though of a truth, genetics and external influences (environment) might help people develop their abilities quicker than others, but nothing can take the place of work ethic. It is talent put into work that grows and improves.

Your talent is meant for solving problems. Your talent is always a solution to a problem, and when you find the problem you were born to solve then you become prosperous and successful. Great men we know and celebrate in the world today are people who serve and impart to humanity their gifts, who make people better, uplift and create people to become more successful. You might see those people in the entertainment, educational, and technological industries and other spheres of life.  When you use your talent to solve problems, it will multiply, making you a blessing to yourself and others around you.

Great talent with wrong attitude is never appreciated. People with questionable character are never entrusted with great responsibilities, no matter how talented they may be. It is the strength of your character that determines the greatness of your destiny. At the end of everything, it is what you have become that matters; not what you have done or achieved. It is good character that attracts good reputation to your success.

1. Your talent makes you great
2. Talent gives a fulfilled life.
3. Your talent makes you valuable
4. Your talent takes you to great places
5. Your talent helps you to discover yourself

After knowing all these, it will be pointless if you haven’t started working in the area of your talent. Stop procrastination; if you wait for conditions, you will never get anything done.
